Lupe Buenrostro
My name is Guadalupe (Lupe) Buenrostro. I have lived in East Palo Alto for the past 30 years. I work as a legal assistant and interpreter at Stanford Law School for a clinical program that provides free legal services in eviction defense (in San Mateo County), Social Security disability matters, and criminal record expungement. I have worked for the Stanford Community Law Clinic for 25 years. Before joining the Community Law Clinic, I worked at the East Palo Alto Community Law Project for 13 years.
I am a mother of three adult children who participated in the EPATT program. Two of my children graduated from college and now live independently. My youngest, who also took part in the EPATT program, is currently attending college. EPATT is one of the best programs in our community. I look forward to taking on a new role within the program that provides children in our community with the opportunity to become academically successful, challenge themselves, and gain the confidence to attend college.
