The Inaugural EPATT Cup Was a Huge Success!
Saturday, September 19th, at the EPATT Center
Tournament Director: Losaline Mafileo
A Day of Tennis, Community & Celebration
The EPATT Cup featured fast-paced doubles competition for men and women rated 3.5 and higher, with five guaranteed matches, multiple opponents, and no-ad scoring.
Players brought plenty of competitive spirit to the courts—and plenty of enthusiasm off them. The afternoon included an exhibition featuring former professional and college players and local teaching pros, followed by a lively reception where players, coaches, supporters, and members of the EPATT community came together to celebrate.
The day was a wonderful showcase for the EPATT Center: a place where young people can develop their skills, build confidence, find community, and discover what they can do.
Thank You for Making
the First EPATT Cup So Special
The inaugural EPATT Cup would not have been possible without the generosity and enthusiasm of our players, sponsors, partners, volunteers, committee members, coaches, and the entire EPATT community.
Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, sponsored, cheered, contributed, and helped make the inaugural EPATT Cup such a memorable day.
We can't wait to do it again next year!
The first EPATT Cup brought together an incredible community of tennis players, supporters, coaches, and friends for a spirited day of doubles tennis, competition, and connection at the EPATT Center.
From the first serve to the final reception, the energy was extraordinary. Players competed hard, made new connections, enjoyed great food and hospitality, and—most importantly—came together to support EPATT's mission of helping East Palo Alto students thrive through tennis, tutoring, and academic support.
And for a first event, the response was remarkable.
“Hard to believe this was the first event of this kind at the facility. It was obvious that much effort was put into preparation and execution.”
The winning teams will receive a one-hour hitting clinic with Stanford’s Men's Tennis Coaches/Former Pro Players at the new Arrillaga Tennis Center.
