A Day to Remember: Ribbon-Cutting Celebration at the New EPATT Center

Together, we celebrated more than just a building — we opened the doors to deeper academic support, meaningful growth, and lasting opportunity for our students and families.

One of the day’s most moving moments came from Dick Gould, legendary Stanford tennis director and EPATT’s founder, who shared reflections on EPATT’s journey. From our beginnings at Cesar Chavez Academy 35 years ago to returning to the same campus, now home to Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School (CCRMS), the celebration marked a full-circle moment.

We also heard inspiring words from Dr. Cristian Miley, Principal of CCRMS, and Dr. Will Eger, Assistant Superintendent of the Ravenswood City School District, who highlighted how EPATT’s in-school tutoring program is helping students reach — and exceed — grade-level reading milestones.

And of course, our student speakers stole the show, sharing how EPATT has helped them build confidence, discover new passions, and dream bigger.

We’re continuing the celebration at our Community Grand Opening on Saturday, June 14, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM — join us for food, a raffle, tennis, and more! To register, click here.

Thank you for being part of this special day and for supporting our mission. This is just the beginning.
